Hands and Hearts Keep the Dream alive.

Ozark Folkways thrives because of folks like you.

From the quilting circle to the jam session, every person who shows up helps keep our living heritage alive.

Our programs, events, and historic spaces depend on the support of neighbors and friends who believe in preserving something real—something handmade and heartfelt.

Exhibit & Perform

Share Your Craft. Share Your Song.

The gallery and stage at Folkways are where stories come to life — carved, painted, strummed, and sung by neighbors near and far.

If you’re an artist, maker, or performer, there’s a place here for your work and your voice.

Exhibit Your Work

Showcase your art where heritage meets heart. Our gallery celebrates handmade craftsmanship of every kind: pottery, textiles, woodwork, mixed media, and more. Exhibiting with us helps share the beauty of Ozark artistry with new audiences while keeping these traditions alive.

Teach a Workshop

Pass Down What You Know. Spark Something New.

The Folkways’ community thrives on shared knowledge from generations-old crafts to modern creative twists.

If you have a skill, story, or practice to share, we’d love to help you teach it. Whether your roots are deep in the Ozarks or your traditions come from far beyond these hills but you are here now, your craft has a place here.

Workshops at Folkways span everything from quilting and foraging to basketry, pottery, and folk cooking. Each one is a chance to connect hands and hearts across generations.

Volunteer & Partner

Good Work. Good People. Great Fun.

Not everyone who loves Folkways has to wield a paintbrush or guitar. Some bring a welcoming smile, a steady hand, or a knack for pulling things together.

Volunteering at Folkways is more than lending your time. It’s joining a circle of friends who believe in community, creativity, and a little bit of whimsy.

Partner With Us

We also love working with organizations that share our values of creativity and connection. Whether it’s a local business, nonprofit, or community group, we’re always looking for ways to collaborate on events, sponsorships, and shared projects that strengthen the Ozarks.

Support Folkways

Help the Dream Grow.

For more than fifty years, Ozark Folkways has been a home for artists, musicians, and makers — but also for dreamers, learners, and doers.

Your donations help preserve our historic building, expand programming, and make workshops and concerts accessible for everyone. They also help us bring new life to our second home, the Ozark Folkways’ Fayetteville Folk School, in the historic Walker-Stone House in Fayetteville, AR.

Every gift, big or small, helps us keep the dream alive for generations to come.
